Congratulations to Edgemont Campus social studies teacher Matt Sibbing for being selected to attend the George Washington Summer Residential Teachers' Institute.  This highly competitive program, funded by private donors, brings teachers to Washington's home in Mount Vernon for an intense week of study.  Click here for more information about the Institute.  Hats off to you, Mr. Sibbing!

PARENTS: Ever wish your children came with an instruction manual?  We'd like to help!  The RAS Social Services Department is now offering Parent Effectiveness Training (PET).  A series of monthly evening sessions is available to all RAS parents:
  • choice of dates available each month
  • program and all materials are free of charge
  • sessions offered in Dayton and Hamilton 

Sessions begin in late February! See attached flyer for details and registration information.

Information

The Richard Allen Schools are public community schools that participate in state-wide assessment (including the Ohio Achievement Assessments).  The Schools uphold compulsory attendance requirements for all students, as required by law.

Parents may request information regarding the professional qualifications of their students' teachers by writing or emailing the principal. For a complete faculty roster that lists where faculty completed their collegiate studies and the undergraduate or graduate degrees held, click on the Richard Allen Schools District Site link in the Resources section on the left.

MISSION STATEMENT
Richard Allen Academy II provides a safe, nurturing and child-centered environment in which our children can grow academically, socially and emotionally. Our staff believes it is important to provide an exciting, inviting, safe, caring, student-oriented learning environment. Our daily focus is for our students to dream big, work hard and achieve much in their pursuit of excellence.
